Courses financed by social insurance
The Glossa Ltd school has collaborated with cantonal employment offices since 1992, since 1997 with Active Measure Office UMA of Bellinzona and with Disability Insurance (AI) since 2009.
Courses for unemployed persons
The school organizes individual as well as collective courses for persons without work or with healt problem, always trying to meet the needs of the students and the job placement officials, adapting its own programmes and goals to the individual or the group, in such a way as to be able to facilitate their reintegration in the job market and in social life.
The participant is granted the possibility to express his/her own opinions regarding the quality and the criteria of teaching.
The school takes part in PEL (European Language Portfolio) and successfully follows teaching methods and evaluations proposed by them. The school participated in the Platform for German from 2001 until 2005, organized by the canton to identify the levels and prior knowledge of the participants.
The school has no influence on the start or the scheduling of a course, nor on the number of participants and the formation of the levels, rather, it depends on the decisions of the cantonal authorities. The school is obliged to inform the authorities of the development of, the problems, and results of a course.
