Courses financed by the Canton
Glossa Ltd. has cooperated with the Cantonal Job Placement Offices (URC) since 1992, with the Active Measures Office (UMA) in Bellinzona since 1997, and with Disability Insurance (AI) since 2009.
COURSES FOR THE DISABLED AND THE UNEMPLOYED
We hold individual and group courses for the unemployed and those with health impairments. We do our best to respond to the students’ needs, as well as taking into account the requirements of the job placement consultants. By adapting programmes and goals to the individual person or group, we facilitate reintegration into the job market and a successful return to social life.
Glossa language school is part of the ELP (European Language Portfolio) and successfully applies their teaching methods and assessment criteria. The school participated in a cantonal scheme identifying German language abilities and pre-existing knowledge of people entering the job-market from 2001-2005.
Our school has no influence over dates and schedules of courses payed for by the canton, nor on the number of participants and the distribution of language levels inside groups, as those depend on the decisions taken by the cantonal authorities. The school is obliged to inform those authorities on the progress, potential problems and results of the course.
