Poliglotta alla Glossa association

Language school Glossa’s non-profit “Polyglot Association” (Associazione Poliglotta) stems from the desire of Scuola Glossa Ltd. to offer its thirty years of experience in language teaching in creating efficient language courses to an interested public made up of foreigners, asylum seekers, people with the Swiss protection status “S“, and all other non-Italian speakers residing in the Canton Ticino who have a need to learn to communicate in Italian with the scope of a better integration into society.

The association is not profit-based and is led by the school’s management and composed of teachers who are deeply dedicated to the mission of teaching Italian as a second language. It is committed to offering high-quality Italian language courses that are tailor-made for the participants, with the main objective of giving each individual the possibility to attain a sufficient language level in order to take an active part in the activities of everyday life, which is a necessary component for effective linguistic, cultural and civic integration in our canton’s society.

Being part of the Language School Glossa, our “Polyglot Association” is guided by our philosophy focusing on quality courses with customised programmes for each individual participant. To this end, Glossa’s Polyglot Association fully reflects the quality concept of the Glossa Language School, which has held the Swiss educational certification “eduQua” since the year 2010.

Glossa’s “Polyglot Association” draws its highly qualified teachers from its own pool of professionals. These educators are native speakers and/or graduates in Italian language and history of Italian literature, all of whom hold SVEB Module 1 and 2 certificates, with additional Swiss language promotion program “fide” training completed or in progress. All teachers for these courses have extensive experience in teaching Italian as a second language for foreign language residents.
